The Bachelor of Arts with Major in Theology and Minor in Philosophy is a dual program combining two years of training in theology and one year training in philosophy. Students begin the theological reflection with introductory courses, such as The Bible: History, Culture and Faith, the Developments of Christian Thought, and the History of Christianity. Following this, students build a solid foundation in Old Testament and New Testament Exegesis, the History of the Church, and Theological Reflection (the Mystery of God - the Trinity, Christology, Christian Anthropology, Moral Theology, Sacraments, and the Virtues).
The philosophical training unpacks the main figures of the history of philosophy and knowledge of the central theories in the main disciplines of philosophy such as metaphysics, epistemology, ethics and aesthetics. The theological training will aim at acquiring a basic theological culture with an overview of the different theological fields, as well as developing basic theoretical and practical knowledge of methods and scientific approaches in these various fields. |
